Do you love Japan?
What do you think of when you hear the word “Japan”?
Of course, you already have “your Japan” inside of you.

At the bottom of Japanese culture is the sensibility to “listen to the voiceless voice in everything.
If you can capture the voice of life and apply it to your work and daily life, your life will begin to shine quietly.
And the people around you will gradually notice the changes in you.

This is the DNA of Japan that may be hidden in the peoples of the West, Asia and Africa.
This is the dawn of a new era in which your true nature will emerge, Japan will change, and the world will live in harmony with the Earth.

What is the Heart of Japan?

Japan is a mystical country.
This is because Japan is a country where things have life in them.

Have you ever heard of a needle memorial ceremony?
Needles used are often broken, bent, or rusted, right?
In order to make a memorial service for those needles that are no longer useful, they are placed in a needle mound.

When you throw away your beloved dolls,
they go to the Ningyo temple and make offerings and store them in a doll mound.
Knife and brush memorial ceremony are also famous.

Don’t you feel uncomfortable when you throw things away?
Some people say that throwing things away makes them tired.
This is expressed in the Japanese language as well.

For example, “mottainai”.

This word doesn’t just have a rational meaning (loss or gain), it has respect for things.
There is life and affection in used objects.

Isn’t it wonderful that Japan has this kind of sensitivity?
The fundamental spirit at the bottom of Japanese culture is “to look at the life of all things and make the most of it”.

At JU, we use a four-letter phrase, “Give life to all things.
It may sound trivial, but as you get used to it.
It’s quite a tasteful and powerful four-letter word.
And “All things alive and well” is not a catchphrase, even in the title.

You can learn practical ways to incorporate the above nine areas into your real life.
